About Jim Corbett National Park
Jim Corbett National Park, India's oldest and most prestigious national park, was established in 1936 to protect the endangered Bengal tiger. Spread across 520.8 sq km in the Nainital district, the park encompasses dense sal forests, grasslands, riverine belts, and marshy depressions. The park is divided into five zones -- Bijrani, Jhirna, Dhikala, Durga Devi, and Sitabani -- each offering unique safari experiences. Besides the majestic Royal Bengal Tiger, the park is home to elephants, leopards, gharials, king cobras, and over 650 species of birds.
