The Valley of Flowers National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a breathtaking alpine meadow nestled in the West Himalaya at an altitude of 3,658 meters. This enchanting valley bursts into a riot of colors from July to September when over 600 species of flowering plants bloom simultaneously, including rare Himalayan medicinal herbs, blue poppies, orchids, marigolds, daisies, and many more. The 87.5 sq km park is also home to rare wildlife including the Asiatic black bear, snow leopard, musk deer, and numerous bird species. A moderately challenging 17 km trek from Govindghat leads to this floral paradise.
